Biography

All my life I have liked the subject of history. As I got older I began to learn about politics as well. As you know politics and history are very intertwined. The election of 2004 is when I got interested in politics of a general scale. I was not even old enough to drive a car or vote, yet I was telling everybody who to vote for.

The primary season of 2008 is what really, I mean really got me going. This changed my life. I was looking through the candidates and I thought I was a Democrat. I came across a guy named Ron Paul, I was like wow, I agree with everything he is saying! And than I looked at his party affiliation and my jaw dropped. He was a Republican. That is the moment it all came to me.

After this I did a mass amount of reading, I mean a lot. I began researching issues such as political philosophies, the “Federal” Reserve, monetary policy, the gold standard, and much more. Ron Paul is the one that really lit a fire in me that I don’t think will ever go out.

Since than, I converted a lot of my family to Ron Paul. My brother, his girlfriend and I even went to a Ron Paul rally in December and it was so cold! It was also my first time taking The El. That was an experience.

I also donated over 200$ to Ron Paul, and went to another Ron Paul rally/march in Washington D.C. I went with my best friend and his Mom. They are like my second family and I also converted them to the ideas of liberty and limited government. We had a great time. We waited so long in the sun but to me it was all worth it. Here are some photos from the march:

Since than I am now in college at Kutztown University. My major is Political Science with a potential minor in Economics. I would love to one-day make such an impact as Ron Paul, to follow in his footsteps. I don’t know what I will be doing for a career. I may be a politician, I may write for a newspaper, whatever it may be I will be doing my part and hopefully getting paid for it, but above all of that I will be spreading the message of Liberty, the message of small government, and the message of truth. That is my dream and in a way it started with Ron Paul.

Well Jon, I have to say, you have the brains, you have the conviction from what I’ve seen thus far. The only thing you have left to resolve is the motivation and focused direction. If and when you choose these sources, I believe you will go as far as you wish to. Remember, the more trials and tribulations you endure, the more pain and suffering you push through, the harder your resolve; Thus saying, the greater the fire, the more refined the man.

Thanks Issac for the compliment. I feel the same way as you do except I get paranoid I do not know enough, hence my compulsive buying of books.

And I was a dumb follower of the neo-cons, believing all their lies about Ron Paul. I was so disgusted by him I went to his website to see how bad he was.

    OH MY GOD!

Talk about waking up! I’ve learned more in the last year and 4 months: Constitution, Civil rights, Austrian Economics, Foreign Policy, Monetary Policy, America History.

    Great blog. Keep it up!
